The team also released Canadian linebacker Stephen Smith
Those are some legendary names. Good memories. I dont recall his stats, but Tony Champion is remembered for The Catch in the 1989 Grey Cup game.

BC makes the most sense. Ford has a similar playing style and passport as Rourke.
I would be suprised if he didnāt sign with BC before the weekend is over.

Ford is in no position to command a big salary, and I canāt see any team being interested in him as a starter until and unless he spends some time on film work and self-improvement. BC, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Montreal would all be fits for him, but in the QB2 role.

Still doesnāt mean teams see him as the solution, not after how things went for him in Edmonton. I think he will land somewhere but much like Calvillo in Montreal, heāll have to take a step back, regroup, and learn.

You canāt make chicken salad out of chicken s**t. Tre Ford is unemployed because heās not a viable solution at QB in the CFL. Heāll have a job, but my guess is more likely as a #3 short yardage guy or at best a gadget guy that comes in on designed runs, or maybe trick plays with two QBs on the field together.
