Coach of the Year

It was a nice start to begin my day to see who got coach of the year.

It is absurd indeed. I kind of get why they did it around the Combine, but it really does belong during Grey Cup week.

I heard he ended up in an eight way tie for second place .

I’m guessing at some point you’ll have to brave a US airport. Try not to lose your mind, or, you know, what’s left of it after all that rum you’re consuming! :tropical_drink:

No travel plans I have made since they elected that feckhead for the second time include travel to the USA. Not even to change planes. Not even for a 30 minute layover.
This trip was Saskatoon to Cowtown then cow town to Dominican Republic. Return is to Toronto short layover then home.

Isn’t this when they used to do it before Covid?

They used to do it during the winter meetings years ago. But they moved it to the Grey Cup (don’t know what year off hand).

Still maintain that having the COY award be an East vs West award is rather ridiculous to say the least . Should just be between the two best coach’s for the year regardless of division .

Yah that’s right. Mid January?

it’s dumb for all the awards, esp since it means players and coaches in the east have a better chance at winning (with one less team than the west to choose from).

Oui et non. Réalistement, il y aura rarement plus de 2 candidats dans chaque division de toute façon. Ça peut arriver très occasionnellement, mais ça demeurera anecdotique.

Agreed. A couple teams in each division built great starting lineups. The Riders however built outstanding depth and used it well. They deserved the accolades.
