The decision was not in any way driven by Sankey’s performance … they decided to "Go Canadian " … DA got to show his stuff because Fjardo was out for a stretch … GCA hasn’t had that chance and was not going to get significant time at MLB unless Sankey was gone … those are the tough decisions GMs get paid to make … fingers crossed DM made the right one.
Yeah, ratio definitely drove the decision, but I’m still surprised. Not every day you see a perennial all-star playing at an elite level and only 30 cut in favour of a relatively unproven guy. In the case of Fajardo, Alexander had proven more and Cody was in no way an elite player.

London était devenu un receveur de premier plan, jusqu’à ce qu’il se blesse sérieusement. Pour son souvenir de la partie où Calvillo a franchi le record des gains par la passe (passe de 5 verges à Richardson qu’il a portée 30 verges de plus pour un touché), je ne sais pas si mon souvenir est exact, mais il me semble que Favre n’avait pas parlé. Je me souviens de Damon Allen, Warren Moon et Dan Marino, mais pas de Favre. Une chose est certaine, c’est que s’il a parlé, il n’a pas dit que Calvillo avait battu son record, mais seulement celui de la LCF. Je me souviens que le fait qu’il se soit limité à ça (dans une déclaration séparée ou à cette occasion, peu importe) avait été soulevé comme un manque de classe de sa part.

Stanback a été un très bon porteur de ballon, particulièrement dans une période où les Alouettes se cherchaient. Il pouvait changer la dynamique d’une partie. Je lui souhaite beaucoup de bonheur dans la suite qui l’attend.
Brett Favre avait fait une courte vidéo pour féliciter Calvillo lorsque son chandail avait été retiré, mais je ne suivais pas le football au moment de son record.
If he stays in football shape Stanback would be a good pick up for a team if injuries hit in the latter part of the season when the weather starts to turn.
