NFL 2026 Playoffs wildcard weekend game thread

Wow, tonight I learned that 7/8 of a step, with the foot not quite on the ground on the step after the catch, is NOT a “football move.”

That’s a catch.

And Ben Johnson is making Dan Campbell look sane.

And so why did the Bears risk going for it in this field position, and of course then lose?

You best watch your step there buster before somebody other than Big Dom makes a “football move” on YOU!

:ghost:

Anyway, I still don’t understand how that was not a catch, and neither did Kirk Herbstreit.

So is it just me or does anyone else think that the Bears are really not that interested in winning this game ?

So I wonder if they just bench Caleb Williams if still 3 points in the third quarter?

WHAT A PLAY ON FOURTH DOWN BY THE PACKERS!

this version of the bears are playing like the old version

Well see how bad it gets, though this is after all a home playoff game.

Remember those 2024 Bears when they were on that final drive doing the 2-minute drill in reverse to run out the clock on THEMSELVES, but of course saving their timeouts for supposedly free Italian beef sandwiches after the game?

That was awesome.

I’ve seen this every year since 1986.

Alright folks, I think it’s time to bench Caleb Williams’ ass.

Hello Sean “Spitshine” Mahoney or Butch “Beef Broth” Bates!?

Bears D is a joke

Kirk Herbstreit is right. That trajectory on that kick that did not count is EXACTLY how to read that wind there, slightly left to right. You want to drive the ball slightly left to cut the wind and let it sail through.

And then Green Bay’s kicker cut it too much, so wide left.

And that offense tonight, hmmm?

Yeah, Johnson has watched Campbell too long, i get gambling on 4th down in certain situations but Johnson has lost his mind and it looks like the game.

Williams it appears is not a ‘ready for primetime player ‘ yet, passes rushed, off target or to a receiver that’s nowhere in sight.

Might have been the other way around

not at all surprised the way this GB/bears game is going. Bears are not quite there yet to contend in playoffs, in spite of reg season record.

They are just getting out played.

In a big way
