Dinwiddie obviously knew him from Toronto. Guess he didn’t like him or didn’t like the price. He is a helluva of player, I do wonder in his case if he wears his welcome out.
From the article, it looks like Pickett barely spoke to Dinwiddie, and talked mostly to Burke. Whose judgment I am 100% not sold on.

Le coordonnateur défensif du Rouge et Noir, depuis le 6/01/25, est William Fields, qui a été co-coordonnateur défensif des Argonauts en 2024, après avoir été entraîneur des demis défensifs 2022-2024.
Donc il a connu et constaté la qualité du jeu de Adarius Pickett dans deux équipes.
A. Pickett a joué avec les Argonauts en 2023 et avec le Rouge et Noir en 2024-2025. Et il a fait partie de l’équipe d’étoiles de l’Est en 2023-2024-2025.
Si le Rouge et le Noir l’a libéré en 2026, ce n’est pas de son rendement mais à cause de ses demandes financières et ils ont peut-être identifié un joueur avec du potentiel pour être partant à un salaire moins élevé.

If they think a guy like Pickett is easily replaced, I think they’re in for a shock.

My reading is that if Dinwiddie wanted Pickett he would have made that clear to Burke. Dinwiddie is the coach and GM after all.

I doubt Dinwiddie is that involved on the GM side yet. Either way, I don’t think it’s a great move, but we’ll see who they find to replace Pickett.

History repeats itself.
Before 2023 Season - Adarius Pickett gets a call from Toronto the minute he becomes available and signs with them.
After 2023 Season - Ryan Dinwiddie makes no effort to re-sign Pickett.
Before 2024 Season - Pickett signs with Ottawa.
After 2025 Season - New Ottawa Coach/GM Dinwiddie makes no effort to re-sign Pickett.
Before 2026 Season - Pickett gets a call from Toronto the minute he becomes available and signs with them.
I believe Dinwiddie had significant input in Pickett not returning to Toronto after the 2023 season. Reason is Dinwiddie was the person with the Argos who contacted Pickett at the start of free agency in 2023 and persuaded him to sign there.

Yeah I agree. Dinwiddie would have had significant input on Pickett not being resigned.

Situation salariale des qa des universités américaines vs celle des qa dans la CFL.
Importance pour une équipe de la CFL d’avoir un excellent personnel pour le recrutement de joueurs dans les différentes divisions de football universitaire américain et au niveau universitaire du football canadien et global.

Too bad Willie Drew never had a chance to play with Drew Willy. 
I pondered whether DM might pursue Logan … Letcher was 4th on the Als in yards/PR (behind Theis, Philpott and Snead, and barely ahead of Rambo … NONE of whom I want returning punts) and bottom tier in the CFL amongst regular returners … although he was decent on kickoff returns.
Is Letcher a pending free agent? I honestly can’t remember if we re-signed him or what the situation is.
