Whoever bet the Colts with Old Man Rivers for the first half made a nice chunk of change.

Nobody honest saw this one coming, especially in Seattle!

Well, Rivers did all he needed to do today to keep the Colts in that game, along with a defence that allowed zero touchdowns, and it was almost enough after a booming 60-yard field goal to take the lead at 16-15 with two minutes left! But it was not enough.

Oh yeah, especially indoors in Indianapolis, I’d say Rivers is good to start all the more.

He later missed a 59-yarder too, but we have gotten spoiled on these longer kicks of greater than 50 yards indoors or about 47 yards or greater outdoors in moderate wind.

Cris Collinsworth implied this point in a comment after his second miss.

Yeah surprising actually, considering it was a huge game for the Cowboys to keep their playoff hopes alive and the Vikings playing out the string. Vikings played well and McCarthy looked pretty good, maybe there’s something there after all, we’ll see going forward.
