Pretty good game for a boring no fun walk off the field with 30 seconds left league. Imagine they played with the carnival timing rules? Could have been 51-50.
Wow. Iâm going to catch these extended highlights for sure! Itâs unbelievable just reading about it this morning.
The Seahawks have their case as the best in the league too.
But who knows which of these two would win two out of their three games if they were to meet in the playoffs.
We can only get the games on Amazon Prime over-the-air, or any night games, when the Eagles are playing. Itâs the same for everybody when their local team is playing.
On Monday nights, the games on ESPN are simulcast to ABC in those markets when not on ABC like for many games, but here in Philadelphia, most people donât even get ABC any more unless they have a cable subscriptions, for the local antenna has been utter crap for over 15 years. Thereâs ways to rig things up to do it with a premium antenna, but itâs too much hassle.
Donât look nowâŚ
SF wins out they get the division and the 1 seed. ![]()
When I wrote that in the 4th quarter the Seahawks had a 3% chance of winning. Miracles do happen obviously.
Iâm not sold on Darnold and the Seahawks though. Although he had a good drive in OT, Darnold had a poor game and was the main reason they were behind. As Luke Wilsson said, take away a 46 yard screen pass and Darnold threw for just 26 yards in the first half. He also threw two terrible interceptions. I think you will see playoff Darnold from last year reappear come the post season.
I think the Rams are the better team but the Seahawks have played them though twice.
McVay, Rams question overturned call on two-point attempt
The Rams also did their share of foot shooting, dropping critical passes and missing what passes for a chip shot field goal in the NFL from 41. They also had that flukeramma play of the century go against them. As the odds said, 97 times out of 100 the Rams win that game. They are the better team.
Tend to agree here.
I just saw the clip that is quoted in the article on TV. For one, Iâm not sure the headline of McVay questioning the call is accurate. He doesnât really do so and rather says that he didnât get a good explanation from the officials on the field and also says he understands because of timing issues and was more seeking an explanation rather than questioning the call. His demeanour wasnât really âquestioningâ, but rather seeking an explanation and as he said he wasnât making excuses. A pox on headline writers.
Personally, however, I do question the call. For one, Iâm not sure the pass was clearly backwards enough to overturn the call on the field, but even if it was, I donât like the result, even though it may have been technically correct. Maybe.
Once a call on the field like that (an incomplete pass) is made and the whistle blows and everyone stops playing I donât see how something that happens after can be valid. Even the guy who picked up the ball in the end zone was non chalant and clearly thought the play was over. There has to be some kind of a âkill switchâ rule put in place whereby a play is clearly over once it is blown dead, mistake or not. Should you be able to hit someone after the whistle because you think a challenge will change the play? I think not. Yet apparently you can score a TD. Nonsensical.
canât wait to read more guys going off in rule change topic about how boring and crappy the NFL is that they never watch.
I agree
Once the play is whistled dead the play is over
LAC legally won the game and because I picked them I should get the win in our NFL pool

That âworm holeâ is something else I tell you ![]()
Yeah even the officials thought the play was over and were acting like it, yet some sneak scored a TD when the play was dead. Ridiculous.
But I will have to give you the ill gotten win in the pool. I just hope you feel extremely grateful and guilty for the legal cheating that gives you the 1-0 start. ![]()
Great questions and correct to question, but strict rules, Sean
Ah ha, I see, alternative facts are taking command of this thread too now?

Iâm with you @Jon. Darnold is a pylon. Heâll win against weak competition but doesnât have the right stuff when the game is on the line. They didnât win because of him.
Hi All,
What Happened??? Also, since I missed the Thursday game, can I still pick games for this weekend?

CFL.ca pulled the plug on the forum without any notice to the forum members. They did warn the admin earlier this year that it would be happening at some future undisclosed point so my understanding is that people like @GridironGirl were working behind the scenes in preparation for that eventuality. I think she got this domain name in advance as well. We have a lot to be thankful for for her!
