If he works on his zone drops for his pro day yes and man coverage skills. Size wise, he is only an 1 inch shorter and 5lbs lighter than Alex Hightower, who is the SAM in the Steelers 3-4.
Predicting nothing … just discussing possibilities/options … but rookies/young players are good ST value if they can do the job

Not sure what industry consensus is on the All-star games but it seems like this one is third tier All-star game behind the Senior bowl and East-West Shrine Bowl. But still plenty of guys get drafted to the NFL or get UDFA deals after showing well at the Hula Bowl I’m sure.

I hope more Canadians get a shot at strongside linebacker. Kramdi, Rene, Makonzo have all played well when given opportunity there.

I don’t know what positions those guys all played in college, I think Makonzo played DB because he was in the States, right? I feel like there’s a few guys in this incoming NCAA class who could transition pretty effectively. I think Jett Elad comes to mind as someone who could step into that role well, he’s been a tackling machine the last two years. Josh Baka had 90 tackles at Kent State last year too.
Rene was a CB, I think Makonzo played a version of a nickelback. Kramdi I believe was also a CB.
I don’t think Mesidor was looking like a CFL prospect to begin with, but this is another indication that maybe Logan Taylor isn’t coming to the CFL either.
I think people wrote Taylor off pretty early.

What I had been seeing initially had me thinking of him as a bit of a Kyle Hergel type where he was a likely NFL UDFA but still a CFL pick, but he’s looking like he might be more of an Isaiah Adams/Matthew Bergeron type that CFL teams don’t even waste the pick on.
Looking at NFL mock draft database this seems to have happened around November when he started getting mocked in the low 100s.
Dobson looks quite impressive. There’s an old football expression for players like Dobson “he has a nose for the football”.
He does. I wish YouTube had more full games. Highlights are great, but they never show the negative plays.
Participants confirmed for CFL Combine. A lot of good prospects should be in attendance but some notable omissions as well, the entire top 11 will be missing out.

I’m going to try to get a roster list for the CFL Kicking Showcase. I’ve worked with Nick Novak on projects in the past and think I can squeeze it out of him
