2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics :olympics:

Sounds about right, need to be a mathematician to figure it out.

Another Bettman rotten egg!

Canada should be good now for a medal in women’s curling, might even be golden. Early rough patches where Raytch Homan was curling as erratically as Kerri Einarson. Appears to have righted the ship - but needed a piece of the button to edge out the Italian fashion model Steffi Constantini this afternoon. Homan’s kryptonite, the Swiss gals also appear out of sorts. Hasselborg was off to a great start but she’s starting to take naps. Had a chance to put Homan out of her misery but let the Canadians off the hook.

Canadian men should be good for gold or silver in curling but ya never know. Like my dad always said - its a slippery game!

Women’s hockey - Canada overwhelming favorites for silver. Team USA just too pesky, really good at choking off the canadian attack. A Canadian win would be an upset.

Men’s hockey - both canada and usa survived major scares earlier today. Canada managed to slither by Czechs in OT; same for Amerkans vs. Sweden.

Should be closer than the women’s gold game but without Sid, there’s a definite void in leadership. USA is over-coached, CAN is under-coached. Someone might figure out what I mean.

I wouldn’t just give the W to team Homan this morning. Gim has played them really tough.

2025 Pan Continental Championships: Homan rallied from an early 4-0 deficit to win a thriller 11–9.

2025 World Championship (Semifinal): In one of their tightest battles, Homan won 6–5 in an extra end to advance to the gold medal game.

2024 World Championship: The teams split their meetings; Gim won the round-robin game 6–5, but Homan won the semifinal 9–7.

Thursday Canadian Schedule (All Times Est)

03:05 - Curling - Men vs Norway

04:30 - Freestyle - Men’s Halfpipe Qualifying

08:30 - Curling - Women vs Korea

10:30 - Speed Skating - Men’s 1500

1:05 - Curling - Men’s Semi finals

1:10 - Hockey - Women’s Gold Medal Game

1:30 - Freestyle Women’s Halfpipe Qualifying

Thought I read somewhere that 6 of the top 10 scorers in the PWHL are Canadian but they only brought 2 of them to the Olympics because management selected by position or something like thatm

Not sure. Will have to look into that.

Based on what I saw, the :us_outlying_islands: team is allot faster and protect the puck pretty well too.

Think :canada: will need to get a little younger moving forward.

Men’s hockey: Finland up 2-0 over Canada in the semifinal, second period.

2 - 1 for Fins after 2 periods.

normally i don’t care about talking heads appearance stuff too much but Cassie’s eye lashes and Gretzky’s eyebrows have been freakin’ me out a bit. also, seeing Duthie with Friedman and Bieksa feels wrong.

:canada: Going for :1st_place_medal: :goal_net:
