Wow, wasn’t expecting that but as you say great news. I’m glad he came to his senses and made the right decision.
As you correctly surmised Agent Paolo, a backroom deal with Taylor Elgersma was reached after after an epic 4th dimensional contract negotiation for the ages.
We were locked brain to brain in mortal combat for what seemed like hours but that was only because I fell asleep during the handshake.
So there we were in the parking lot of a McDonalds arguing over who gets the free coffee coupon when suddenly I caught a break. Noticing that the expiration date had passed, I fired the opening salvo by handing my adversary the expired coupon thereby putting him in my debt at no cost to the bribe fund that Kyle Walters had given me (which stood at just under ten dollars).
Slowly I began to wear him down. Either that or he was melting in the hot sun. Holding a magnifying glass to his forehead on that day turned out to be sound negotiating strategy.
Anyway Elgersma was starting to sweat (he didn’t smell too good either) and he almost caved when I offered to give him 20% off on a year’s subscription to Better Homes and Bojacks. The clincher came when I sweetened the deal with my prized five year old belly lint collection which I might add was starting to catch the nostril of many a fair beaver.
Bottom line… the deal got done and our wayward second round pick from last year’s CFL Draft is now on his way north to Bomber Command HQ here in the Peg.
And that’s the way it went down. 
Wow! It looks like I missed a lot since the end of last season. Thank you @GridironGirl and crew for creating a place with a very familiar feel. Thanks also to @bomberjunkie for leaving a trail of breadcrumbs in my inbox, and to @Maaax for helping us carry on as usual. I see @Nasty-Nate has a new handle. Perhaps an image of Ilie Nastase can be a future avatar. I don’t intend to dead-name anyone, but I would have voted for Lyle_B_Vile as a new moniker, Nate. Anyway, it feels great to find my way back home, guys.

That was a pleasant read @arnie. As I don’t know the results of other teams, and I don’t usually deal in hyperbole.
However, I would definitely say it’s up there in best drafts.
Here’s to hoping they continue to draft well and not end up in the draft-and-develop black hole like the Winnipeg Jets did post-2015.

Yeah, I think that trust level for new arrivals is set low like that because we have learned that we can’t trust all those at the old place who make it here after battling the high seas after the old place was blown up in December, you know.
Now a great many did not make it and won’t.
