Your wish is Walters command!

Either one of those two. Maybe Holm. I think they will all be signed.

I sure hope so! I know some people aren’t too fond about bringing our ā€œold aging bandā€ back together again. But O’Shea loves his core veterans and there’s no reason to completely rebuild right now imo. Those guys are still ballers.

With a few new pieces here and there, particularly backup QB, O and D lines and we are likely set for another Cup run. I like all of our re-signings so far.

Best clutch kicker Sergio Castillo :white_check_mark:

Best RB Brady Oliveira :white_check_mark:

Best DB Deatrick Nichols :white_check_mark:

Keep the awesome signings coming!

And just like that, we have one of the best Canadian receivers back

Nic Demski :white_check_mark:

Impeccable timing!

Totally agree. Even though most of the players signed are older (not Wilson) they are still of all star caliber for the most part and essential. The tougher ones are guys like Thomas and Schoen. Temporarily forgot about Sergio, who better not be going anywhere. They also signed Kramdi which is good.

Oops. Looks like I was dreaming about Castillo signing for 2026. Hopefully the next time I wake up from a fever dream, his signing will be a reality.

I question whether Schoen can come back from not one but 2 torn ACL injuries. I love his passion and he was unquestionably the most outstanding rookie in his debut year, which statistically, put him at the top of the list. But we might have to cut our losses with him and sign another stud rookie receiver. Our receiving corps with Wilson, Wheatfall, Demski, et al is already quite good.

I am looking forward to and hoping that Kevens Clercius takes the next step this season. Our big free agent signings last year were a bust. Dillon Mitchell didn’t help much and with his new found criminal charges will not be back with the Bombers. That leaves a spot open for someone to step in and fill that role.

Hard to say if Peyton Logan sticks around. His injury kept him out of the lineup so he never really got a chance to prove he belongs here. There was also national depth Joey Corcoran and Gavin Cobb who both looked okay in very limited roles.

Losing Lawler hurt and the fact his replacement, Schoen, didn’t meet the expectations for all-star receiver replacement didn’t help at all. Perhaps Wilson becomes our new number 1 but I’d like to see one more solid receiver signed if the budget allows for it.

The Bombers offence getting back to their scoring ways would be spectacular. No amount of receivers will matter if the O line isn’t upgraded to give Collaros time to throw. That is my number 1 priority if I am Walters right now.

Second priority would be d line and getting more pressure on opposing QBs.

After that is purely luxuries. Let’s see what happens and I hope the Bombers get some of their ā€œDark Sideā€ moxy back. Go Blue!

Congrats Bomber fans on resigning Nichols and my personal favourite/hated Rider killa Nic Demski. Those are two hugely important players. I wish my club was making more headlines with resigning our core.

I am surprised at the the Tommy Condell signing however. Does he have history with the bombers or Collaros?

So in a bit of mixed blessing news, it sounds like Tommy Condell is the frontrunner for the OC position. Not sure how Oliveira is going to fit in if that’s the case.

Not big on him, but a wounded cat pushing buttons would be better than Hogan.

According to Winnipeg media reports, Demski re-upped for 2 years. Getting a bit old and more delicate as years go by, but what a relief valve for the increasingly unpredictable Zack Shakey to off the ball to.

Yessiree, Condell has been a pass-only type of freak OC during his CFL years. When he looks at the lack of speed and dexterity in the Bomber receiving fleet he might decide to keep giving Brady O the ball. Doesn’t really matter, does it? I expect the Bombers to be Bottom 4 this year. I know Mountain Man (O’Shea) will project incredible confidence in his charges but thats what he’s paid to do.

I am shocked, truly shocked, that you of all people would make that prediction.

Man I was so high on the Peyton Logan signing. His injury totally derailed his career in Winnipeg. Vaval having an incredible breakout season didn’t help. If Vaval tries his luck down south, I’d expect Logan to stay in Winnipeg.

Wouldn’t mind a trade that sends him over to Toronto. RB is a position of need for them and Janarion Grant won’t play forever at returner.

I predict bottom 4 in the West.

Grant has always been my favorite, but it was clear he lost a step last year and is nearing the end of his career. Vaval is the new Grant and the best in the league by quite a wide margin if he stays.

Logan is under contract for one more year, although I have never been very impressed with him. He played little last year due to injury, but did nothing when he did play. Since Grant left the Bombers have had no one that stepped up until Vaval came along and we witnessed a veritable revolving door of meh at the returner position. I don’t see Logan as the guy and would have no problems with the Bombers moving on, which they surely would do if Vaval returns.

Hold on there Bubba. So far this off season Kyle Walters and Mike O’Shea have made all the right moves:

-We signed an MVP quarterback (not from the NFL) Bryce Perkins.

-We re-signed Nic Demski, Ontaria Wilson, Brady Oliveira, Deatrick Nichols, Cam Lawson, and Redha Kramdi.

-O’Shea got off his butt and hired Tommy Condell (to run our offense… I think).

If we somehow manage to sign Evan Holm, Chris Kolankowski, Willie Jefferson, Sergio Castillo, Jamieson Sheahan and some of other FA’s at a discount THEN suddenly it all comes down to Zach’s brain, one FA deep threat, a monster rush end, and two freakishly good offensive linemen yet to be named.

My lucky ham says we’ll finish somewhere in the top three and squeak into the West Final next season.

I predict top 5 in the west.

I wonder how much our bingo card is going to change next year with the hiring of Condell. Here are some things to look out for:

  1. Demski Jet Sweeps

  2. Dump pass to Oliveira

  3. Collaros scrambling by spinning off his right for the deep ball (already notably absent last year)

If there are any other notable ones, feel free to add on.
