Mtl did that with McGloster and Letcher as well. Makes sense if you have no interest in retaining the player.

Hot off the CFL transactions wire we have Kenny Lawler deleted and added to active roster. Suggesting a renegotiated deal. Could we see and extension announced or might this be just shifting money from one pile to another for cap space?

Since he lives year-round in Toronto and his children were born there, I can think of one CFL team where he can stay home and commute to work.

He was overshadowed by Pickett in Ottawa but contributed his fair share.
10 ST tackles in 2024 and 8 in 2025 by my stats (The league always goes back, and retroactively awards ST tackles weeks after the fact so official numbers might be different)

Depending on what they do at defensive tackle - if Dava is capable and they bring in Pelley or someone else through the draft. I could see a Canadian rotation between tackle and defensive end so that one spot along the line is a Canadian each series. I don’t think you want to pull Ossai, Howsare, Garbutt off the field a lot. To me Onyeka is here more for his special teams work and Dyce likely recommended him. Bagnah out of all those players probably has the most potential for playing time but needs to stay healthy

One scenario is our GM by committee gave lowball offers thinking those recent team report cards mean more then they actually do.
Another scenario is we are more content with our current upcoming second and third year players and don’t feel we need to keep all those guys we’ve lost.
Most likely a combination of both scenarios.
