It is not a formal contest, but of course we are playing by strict rules since 1964.
If you are reading this now, take a break from screwing around and pick your six for the competition.
After the second round, only your top four will remain in play.
If there is a tie between any two or more for fourth place, you also have the option to pick one over the other, but you must act before the third round or the default choice will be whichever is ahead according to the leader board at the Masters.
All decisions by Mr. Beaver and the judges are final.
Arguments and banter will follow before and during the tournament, and though of course by strict rules no cheating is allowed for the contest or you forfeit the match.
Now otherwise as is kind of like attempting to escape from prison in Mexico, which in itself is legal mind you, you are allowed to ATTEMPT to cheat in your ARGUMENTS.
However, like in Mexico then if you are caught after escaping from prison, being caught cheating in your arguments in itself is against the rules and you risk being called out.
You could then also be a no-good galoot, so please be careful out there.
If you wish to participate in the informal contest run in accordance with strict rules, don’t be late with your picks either, or you will be a no-good galoot!
I don’t really follow golf . I used to like it quite a bit a while back, but I stopped watching it. Still, this seems like a good opportunity to start following it again. I had to ask Google who the favorites are, but I also picked Fitzpatrick and Fleetwood because I like their names! Here are my picks:
Let’s welcome today CFL fan and site friend Jim Nantz, also known as a legendary sports broadcaster at CBS Sports and in his element at Augusta right now every single year.
Jim Nantz used to make the trek for CBS Sports to Augusta directly from the Final Four weekend of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, but he passed that torch a few years ago.
Now does not have to have to rush through his burnt toast breakfast at his hotel and leave for Augusta on that early Tuesday morning flight any more.
Here is Jim when he was just a shaver, but actually this was also a few weeks before he started shaving.
As we can see in this neo-vintage video from 1986, Jim is clearly already in his element for a tradition unlike any other, much as we have experienced via Jim Nantz on CBS not merely at Augusta National every April.
A tradition unlike any other. The Masters. On CBS.
