Mlb tv has “my” Rockies as one of the free games today.
During the course of the season I tend to listen to more games than I watch (nightshift worker) so I tell anyone willing to listen that mlb at-bat is the best $24 you’ll ever spend. All games have radio broadcasts and if you turn the scores off, you can listen to the archive of the game at your convenience and have it feel like its live
Very cool seeing the automatic umpire at work, NYY got 7 calls before they used up their two challenges yesterday.
I love how quick it is.

That’s been a focus that has worked well for MLB. Kind of funny how most of the whining about the pitch clock went away in the second season.
Even the pace of preseason games now with 40 pitchers 3 catchers and all that is snappy.

Stoney Creek’s Matt Blackborow was behind the plate in the Jays - Pirates game yesterday in Florida . He graduated from the Umpire Training Academy 7 years ago . He was one of 20 grads out of hundreds of applicants who paid thousands of dollars to attend . Proud to be a Canadian

What a start to the Blue Jays’ season!
Gausman pitches a gem; only blemish a solo shot home run surrendered.
But we turn that around, led by the bottom of the order as is the Blue Jays’ way, 7, 8, and 9 hitters give us a 2-1 lead.
Okamoto singles, followed by a Clement double, and then Gimenez hits a triple scoring the two runs.
Again as is the Blue Jays’ way, Hoffman coughs up a solo shot home run top of the 9th to tie it 2-2
And then in the bottom of the ninth, Kirk strikes out; Varsho strikes out; down to the final out and the bottom of the order comes through again. Okamoto hits a single; Clement hits another double. And then Gimenez comes up, hits a single and we walk off a 3-2 win.
Super start to the season~!
