Been an interesting offseason thus far. The Jays overpaying for pitching is either going to be aggressive brilliance or horrible regret in two years. Hoping for the first.
The Orioles are putting together an interesting offseason acquiring Pete Alonso and today picking up Shane Baz from division rival Tampa. I’d love to see a postseason with no Yankees or Red Sox so I am all for an O’s resurgence.
“My team” is the Rockies. This offseason “we” have joined the new millennium and actually hired a stable of front office managers and surrounding Coach Schaef with new coaches from different places. There aren’t enough pieces in Colorado to do much better than 60ish wins this season but we’re finally at a point where a plan is being formulated to remedy the problems that have plagued the Club literally this whole decade.
Jays will always overpay in free agency. It’s the Canada tax.
The Angels have moved on from Anthony Rendon. The worst contract in baseball now becomes Kris Bryant. I want to see the Rockies move on from KB but feel that decision is still a year away.
Alex Bregman to the Cubs. Biggest move of the 11 day old year.
Four years, $240 million, the Dodgers sign Kyle Tucker.
I cannot take credit for it, but am in wholehearted agreement with this statement that someone posted on Facebook:
“If baseball had a Judge Landis as commissioner he would void this atrocity as “ Not being in the best interests of Baseball “ bring on the lockout / strike and get the salary cap done”
So what do the Jays do now that Tucker has signed with the Dodgers ? Does Bichette’s bat become more attractive now ? The Jays have the money so sign him !
Wonder if Bichette is thinking - “I was not good enough for you to sign me before, why should I re sign now”.
Et voila - Bichette moving on :
And now the Jays will play “Money Ball” to try to replace Bichette’s bat . I’d be looking for 2 cheaper players to replace the lost production . Shapiro insulted Bo with the low offer and now Jay fans will pay the price ![]()

The chances of the MLB playing all 162 games in 2027 seems to be lining up with Barry Bonds making the Hall of Fame. Absolutely should, probably won’t.

You deserve retirement Buck
Cancer Sucks
This is a riot!
Just watch all the players come out juiced!
Spring training starts tomorrow. The renewal of the argument of how is it in 2026, we still can’t watch these games?
Sportsnet is showing Jays and Phillies at 1 PM on this Saturday Feb 21 .
