Denver Nuggets at home versus Houston going for their 5th straight win. If Durant and the kids can stay healthy, the Rockets could legitimately finish top four in the West.
The Raptors have been missing RJ Barrett losing 4 in a row. They head into Miami where the league has seemingly adjusted to their “no pick’n’roll” offense as the Heat have lost 4 straight also. Someone’s gotta win. Go Raps!
My attention tonight goes to one game: does OKC improve to 26-2 and the hopeful pursuit of surpassing the Golden State Warriors record of 73 wins in a season or do the Minnesota Timberwolves awaken from their season long sleepwalk through the season?
Nuggets host the Rockets today for the second time this week. Both their meetings have been bangers.
Raptors host the Celtics. The Raps have won two in a row and their hot start still has them third in the conference. They are .5 games ahead of the Celtics who have recovered nicely from their terrible start. I thought they were cooked without Tatum and will admit it didn’t think they’d get 15 wins until Valentines Day.
The Nuggets/Rockets game, much like the previous matchup, was marred by how spotlight the refs are putting on themselves. A growing theme in the NBA (and sports in general)
Boston/Toronto was a game of runs to the umpteenth degree with the Raps unable to formulate one in the 4th quarter.
Toronto travels to Brooklyn to face a bad Nets team that has been playing okay lately beating teams deemed in the same low level tier they exist in. The Raptors need this one.
Nuggets with a dangerous back-to-back leading into their ballyhooed Christmas Day matchup. Utah at home tonight, in Dallas tomorrow…the proverbial “should win” games that tend to give fans the hibbe-jibbes
