NHL Power Rankings: X-factor for every playoff team
not asking for, just wondering, is there going to be a playoff pool?
Shocking, NOT Shocking

NHL postmortems: What went wrong for all 16 non-playoff teams
NHL playoff predictions: Who wins Stanley Cup, Conn Smythe?
This guy seemed to be just a mouthpiece for Rutherford, never got the impression he was in charge, just doing what he was told. I think the new GM will want more control and not being Rutherfordâs puppet. Personally i think Rutherford should have been the one to go ,but in reality itâs going to be a long way back for the Nucks no matter whoâs in charge.
Its very telling that during the NHL agents survey by the Athletic, agents thought Vancouver was one of the worst run teams in the league.
On the Canucks: âNo alignment with whatâs happening in the organization. It just canât get going anywhere. Just a discombobulation. Good people, nice guys, but itâs just not working. So it makes it difficult for you to manage to bring a free agent there, hypothetically.â
âVancouverâs hard because they have no plan. How do you sell players on an organization where you canât get a grasp of what theyâre actually trying to do?â
The question is will removing Allvin really make a difference to this at all?
Which Canadian team has best chance to end nationâs Stanley Cup drought?
Hereâs a post mortem on Winnipeg Jets submitted by an obviously disgruntled, more disgusted Connor Helleybuyck, Jets former all-star goaler.
âWhat we did this year was unacceptableâ â Winnipeg Free Press
Basically, what Bucky was saying was fully true. Without mentioning any names, it was a total indictment of Jetâs longtime freak GM, Kevin Cheveldayoff.
Listen, Jets are top notch at one thing, and one thing only - EXCUSES. Not the wild-eyed, psychopathic, Scump style excuses but steady eddy, pedantic, couched in apology.
Chevy has become a past master in the art.
Basically, what Connor Hellebuyck was saying in that media article = TRADE ME? I want out of this hellhole run by the leagueâs longest running deadbeat GM.
Suspect ownership has tasked Coach Scott Arniel to get into Hellebuycks face and tell him to tone things down. Not so fast. Conner H. is spewing the truth. Rare for this excuse-making group. Jets have too much garbage in their lineup and thats exactly what Hellebuyck said, not quite in the same vitriolic way. Have a captain with 4 goals and 11 assists (Lowry) thats slower than a half dead turtle. Whats he doing eating minutes?
Other deadbeat slows = 39 yr old Toews, aging d-man DeMelo, degenerating Gus Nyquist, degenerating Nina Neidereiter, and too many prospects who ainât bloominâ
The NHL draft Lottery takes place May 5th
There is already significant drama for the Leafs heading into the night. Toronto holds the fifth-best chance of winning the lottery, but they face a precarious situation: they have only a 41.9 percent chance of keeping their pick. If they drop out of the top five, the pick will be transferred to Boston. This is a condition of the March 7, 2025, trade that sent the pick and Fraser Minten to the Bruins in exchange for veteran defenseman Brandon Carlo.
Thatâs like asking if a new GM will help the Leafs win the Cup. ![]()
