@GridironGirl Just realized that the CFL Talk subforum still has the official CFL logo attached to it. Should probably switch it to the new logo you made.
i’d let them call us on it. considering they didnt care about the last forum id imagine they dont care about this one.

those are free use emoji images. we are not using them or the team ones to represent us. no different than the NFL logo on the NFL talk forum. if they tell us to stop using it we do. but i doubt that will happen.

I still think it’s nicer for continuity to have the subforum icon match the forum icon.
I actually see it different. The main logo with the maple leaf and football represents that this is a football Forum from Canada, that contains content about the CFL, NFL and other topics of interest.
Now to differentiate between the various sub-forums, we are simply using the official logos that represent those leagues. As GG points out, they are free use emojis, and as Crash points out, eff them and let them come after us. 
In my opinion the league would be pretty stupid in being that petulent about us using their official logo. They’ve already pissed off a certain segment of the fanbase with the new rule changes. Further alienating the hardcore fans by scrapping the original Forum, and then interfering with the new one would be a PR disaster. Especially if some news outlet found out about it and ran with the story.

haha i’m not even sold on that new logo. i just wanted something that was different and representative but not the CFL logo, so i just whipped that one up in Google Draw in 15 minutes 
. I was actually thinking of having a proper contest for you graphic artist types (hello @Maaax) once we settled on a proper name - the name was me just taking one of the suggestions that someone posted and people liked.
i mean, if you guys like the name and logo, it is ok by me of course.

After reading this post, now I’m thinking that @Maaax might whip up some logo with a football, a maple leaf, AND a beaver in it.
And I’ll probably like it too.

A.I. can be kind of fun actually. I asked it to come up with a Ti-Cat mascot holding a football in a stadium tunnel. This is what it came up with. Not too bad actually.
