Alright, I’m officially all in. Full disclosure this might only last three months but let’s roll with it.
Just hit the Pro Cheer League site like I’m about to learn cricket or handball from scratch.
Atlanta Air.
Dallas Drive.
Golden State Grit.
Miami Metal.
Gotta love those names - talk about Arena Football team names from 2001.
Straight up — why did this take so long? We’ve had every other niche sport turned into a “league” with TV rights. Axe throwing. Slap fighting. Drone racing. Professional cornhole. But cheer — which already has built-in drama, ultra insane athleticism, regional rivalries, and suburban cheer mom money behind it — somehow just now gets the pro treatment? How did the people that do the “real housewives” miss this one?
This is peak OTA sports economics: cheap rights, built-in audience, visually insane stunts, and a league nobody else is dumb enough to bet on yet.
@Paolo_X while i am running point on this one — you need to see about putting together a “pick em” situation for us on this league — also see if Draft Kings or some other degenerate gambling site has action on this one.
As of now I am pot committed for the Golden State Grit.
No idea what the rules are.
No idea how scoring works.
But if I’m learning a new sport in 2026, this hits that spot in my lizard brain that is unhinged enough to be take the place currently held by Rugby League.
