The post did at least. Giv’er didn’t cut it lol.
giv’er
i made some adjustments lol
I like him as a player but I’m not sure what the ratio looks like if we go American-only at LB.
I bet we stick with Veresuk. Unless he signs an NFL futures contract.
That would be my bet as well. Unless of course the Ticats do end up signing a guy like Oliveira.
Better to have more talent and depth today and figure out ratio and who starts or who plays what position later on. We may need to sign a big name National like Oliveira or someone else to help with the ratio but this offence is built to win now. Would be a shame to play the waiting game with the defence.
Players and coaches are always talking about how the biggest improvement in the CFL is from year 1 to year 2. I think guys like Hill, Fisher, Veresuk, Ossai, Bagnah, and Ramirez could be in line for a jump in production with an entire off-season to train specifically for the CFL game now that they’ve seen it.
If I was a betting man, I’d bet on it . Especially Hill, Veresuk and Ossai.
FYI, in 2026, Sankey will be eligible to be a designated nationalized American (5 years in the league), so he could “start” in rotation with a Canadian for 25 snaps.
This is true, but it’s not like they didn’t utilize this last year. So if you have Sankey as the DNA then you’d still have to start a true national for the guy that was the DNA last year. Unless they’ve added the ability to use 2 DNAs on one side of the ball and I’ve missed it.
For sure. It’s still only one DNA per side of the ball. But Sankey does have a bit more flexibility now that he’s DNA eligible.
And the guy is ridiculously durable. Has played the last four consecutive seasons without missing a single game due to injury. He’s only 31, lots of game left. The Als just wanted to make a ratio change at mike with Geoffrey Cantin-Arku.
I think this is the same reason the Cats might be out on him as they seem to want to make MLB a Canadian spot as well. No doubt Sankey will have a few suitors.
Indeed. GCA will be entering his third season, and has two good seasons as the jack linebacker in 3-4 sets under his belt, so the change was made. (I honestly think it’s a risk on our part and would have tried to get Sankey back for a year to platoon the two guys, but no dice.)
Ottawa could be a destination for Sankey. He’d be tough playing alongside Adarius Pickett.
These are the types of tough roster construction calls that teams have to make in the CFL with the cap and ratio I suppose. FWIW I also believe in GCA. I wanted the Ticats to draft him out of Memphis.
Milton interview with BoLevi on his new contract
This is by far the absolute best Milton interview in his long history of interviews
Bo is fantastic
I think Ottawa will be quite aggressive in the off - season. Dinwiddie will be on a mission to get that franchise fixed.
