Kicker had a season for the ages.

Punters are very abundant.

Now if they could find a punter who can do kickoffs, that would be ideal.

Liegghio is an elite kicker and I’ve been a huge fan ever since his days in Winnipeg. But he isn’t the greatest kickoff specialist.

Thy will get a punter in global draft

For every Nik Constantinou there are 10 Fraser Masins.

I hope they draft right.

Someone should call Kaare Vedvik or Jon Ryan :joy::joy:

Everyone drafts twice in the global draft

We drafted Josh Green in the 1st round last year in the Global draft.

He was the 5th punter selected.

Not sure if he played anywhere last season but his college stats POP.

Pretty sure he was in camp last year and remained on the practice roster for the season. They will draft at least one more punter in 2026

Green is a good prospect. Hopefully he is brought back for 2026.

Like others said, there will probably be a punter or two brought in. Maybe Dyce convinces the team to bring Richie Leone in. I still think he has a year or two left in the tank. Can’t kickoff though. And was not helped by his ST unit last season.

A competent long snapper + line can make or break you, and they broke him last year.

I doubt that we will forfeit one of our import spots on the roster for an aging American punter .

Fair enough.

Seems like more and more teams are bringing in American specialists these days. I think Ottawa, Saskatchewan, and Winnipeg will be American at kicker or punter.

The Argos just signed American kicker Matt Ammendola too. Which I’m sure you knew already

I don’t have much in the way of inside info when it comes to the CFL, but I can tell you with a fairly high degree of confidence that Leone will retire or play for Montreal. That’s it, those are his only two options.

I golf regularly with a very close friend and former U of Houston teammate of Leone. Leone has accepted a job with a business in Montreal and they have agreed that if the Als want him he will play there, if not, he will retire and work full time.

The most likely scenario is that his playing days are over.

I figured his time in the CFL was up but was just spitballing based on the Bob Dyce hire.

Can’t see him dethroning Zema in Montreal.

One of the greats :folded_hands:

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today the signing of Global punter Fraser Masin to a two-year deal.

Masin, 24, spent the 2025 season with the Calgary Stampeders, appearing in five regular season games and recording 27 punts for a 46.0-yard average. The 6-4, 230-pound native of Australia was selected first overall in the 2025 CFL Global Draft by Calgary and went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Collegiately, Masin played at Ole Miss (2022-2024), appearing in 37 games and totaling 125 punts for a 43.5-yard average.
