More upside than 4 years totaling 4,800 yards, 31 TDs, 3X all CFL all-star, and 4X CFL East all-star?

There’s EXACTLY ONE receiver in the CFL today that has a resume that impressive. There have been players with better single single seasons, and we all saw the awful drops, but Tim White’s body of work is exceptional and not easily replaced.

There’s a reason Winnipeg paid Tim White $220k when they had the opportunity to re-sign Wheatfall. Do you think the Bombers could have re-signed Wheatfall for that same $220k if they believed Wheatfall has more upside than Tim White? Heck ya they could! They most definitely could have signed him for much less than that, but they let him walk.

The people that make a living at this know that Wheatfall does not have more upside than Tim White. I think you’re reaching awfully hard with that one all because Tim White frustrates you (and us all) with 2-3 painful drops a season.

Timmy has dominated talk here for years,
For all the right and the wrong reasons!
There is so much positivity happening with the team right now!
Tim has moved on
Maybe, We should move on too!

I literally could care less what you think, get over it he’s gone. If he was so special they would not have let him go but they did. Why do so many of you get so butt hurt when I or anyone says anything about White. So the people making a living doing this clearly saw a lot of what we see thats why he’s gone.

Agreed, I will no longer talk about Sir Timmeh any longer. And you are 100% correct about the positive things happening. I feel we are better than this time last year

Listening to various podcasts ( 3DOWN, Ticats) the consensus is that we already have the guys in house. Quavian White is most likely taking one of the spots. The “experts” don’t seem that concerned because it’s the wider, less utilized, field side.

I’m ok with rebooting the wide side with young athletic Americans.

I think the Gittens signing was exactly that. More Americans on D, easier to find.

The team clearly liked what they had in Walton and White to keep them around all year. White enough that they protected him on the 1 game IL instead of exposing him on the PR.

Further to that they brought in a couple of very athletic older guys (turning 27 this season) in Kaleb Hayes and Gregory Junior that while rookies have each been spending the last 3-4 years with 5 NFL teams a piece. In addition to all the younger guys (2024-2025 draft classes) that they’ve brought in.

I’m comfortable with what they have in camp on the field side.
