:ticats: Ticats 2026

I’ve got a pretty good idea that we will . It will be a similar setup when Kai Locksley was here a few seasons back only with a far better athlete in Ford .

And will count as a Canadian on the field for ratio purposes of they’re both on.

I am just wondering… Is it just me or has it hit anyone the FAs that we have signed this off-season… Like to me so far it still feels like a dream lol. If you told me back in November that we would be signing these players i would of thought your bat shit crazy lol

Great to see that they signed McAllister. I didn’t really want to depend on an aging Mario Alford returning kicks for the ‘Cats this season.

Pope, Calgary signed him, not us.

Mario Alford….come on down. You are the new 2026 PR/KR

He’s got the inside track I would say but there will be 2-3 other guys in camp that will get a shot. Surprised they didn’t get McAllister back, that guy had serious speed too. Alford is still a good returner but I wouldn’t put him in the ‘makes you jump out of your seat’ category anymore.

lol…..I just saw the Ticat uniform and got excited. I still don’t want Alford.

They did have Quavian White return kicks last year but I think he’s on the shortlist to start as a DB and wasn’t terribly impressive returning. They also have Xavier Malone and could bring in more competition, but this is looking so far like it’s Alford’s job to lose.

Hoping we had at least made an offer.

Considering how dynamic he was here you would think they would have been all in especially after losing Wooden. Which leads me to wonder if it was McAllister who wasn’t interested.

This is a fail by our team.

Maybe the team expects to see Wooden back in town this season.

How did we let that happen??

I wonder whether this is him not wanting to come back or the Ticats not being interested enough in having him back.

The former I understand, maybe they offered him more money or the path to a roster spot was clearer.

The latter I understand less, unless they have Alford significant guaranteed money and painted themselves into a corner. But then the question is why would they have done that? Panic after losing Wooden?

Maybe Calgary went full on Don Corleone and made him an offer that he couldn’t refuse ?
