Seems like a very defense draft heavy.. could see us going defense with our first pick

It will be interesting to see who gets signed to UDFA deals in the NFL, but a lot of potential ratio breakers here that might be able to make impacts right away.

The Tiger-Cats draft 5th in every one of the 8 rounds .

I have some strange feeling that ticats will trade some picks to get a DT.

Why? Draft one and develop.

I am currently making a CFL draft big board on Google sheets

“Why?” because the Ticats might want to optimize their chances at winning the grey cup this year because if the DT they draft takes a year or two to develop (or even takes a year or two to come up from the NFL/UFL) then Bo might be retired and we might be rebuilding.

I want to be clear I’m not necessarily suggesting if this is the right call, just that this is why they might do so.

Hopefully no teams are in need of starting running backs, because it will be hard to find em in this draft

That’s true but most starting RBs are American and thus come in via neg list anyways

What are you talking about? Pretty sure the Rider’s started a rookie DT in Ali Saad in the Grey Cup.

What are you talking about? This depth chart says it was Johnson and Rose who are exactly the type of vets a team trades for when they’re going for it. Again, not saying whether or not that’s the right call, just that that’s what the thinking is when you like chances for the Cup and want to optimize them.
