Wow did he have quite a story in not even playing NCAA football. He remains as a backup cornerback for the New York Jets.
And somehow he slid under the radar of the USFL 2.0 back in 2022. Oh well, his gain was their loss!

We go now live to hidden surveillance of
Mike Repole in Orlando, Florida in his home office:
“Yeah that’s right! F YEAH! It’s my home and my team. And it’s MY league now too. You tell those network execs to WATCH MY SMOKE YOU F’ERS! …Yeah…yeah …okay …I’ll stay off the sidelines for my team …point taken…keeping up appearances yadda yadda yadda…advertisers …”
Speaking of new advertisers.
The UFL quietly made a change to the overtime rules last week, so as to debunk also any professed bullshit about fans not only not caring about the outcome of games, but also any claims the fans don’t care HOW games end.
The debacle was in full view in a game lasting over three hours in front of a national audience on Fox on the prior Friday night, as also summarized in the following article.
Now, the rule has been altered entirely. Defensive penalties will not award points to the offense. Instead, the ball will simply keep inching closer to the goal-line, similar to how it would operate in regulation.
Dean Blandino, the UFL’s head of officiating, told ESPN’s Kevin Seifert the following:
“We were not going to wait until the end of the season and go through the offseason process and all of that…We feel like we need to make a correction now. But we didn’t want to make a major, major change going into Week 4. Teams have already played under this set of rules. You’ve got to be careful and mindful of changing things significantly midstream.”
What a bunch of bullshit for the professed reluctance to change for what was utter CRAP!
THE MERE EXISTENCE OF THE PRIOR RULE WAS TOTAL CRAP!
I’m happy they have fixed this CRAP, but in the bush-league manner this league has been operating on the fly, I am definitely not surprised now that this happened, let alone all that sudden “trade” news.

Especially before you go on that expansion rant again, fix your league and rules or
UFL!
And now veteran spring football disciple, waterboy, and fanboy Mark Perry tries to justify those “trades” with a truly butt-kissing puff piece!
Oh well, this is great entertainment in at least seeing through the attempted bullshit justifications.
But the real story came Sunday, when head coach Anthony Becht revealed the emotional reasoning behind trading away talented backup quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
“It just made me sick that I had this guy and selfishly it’s nice to have a great backup, but this is a league of opportunity,” Becht said during his weekly press conference. “When it’s the quarterback position, it’s ultimately so critical, especially for a guy that’s been in the league multiple years now, to get the film that he needs to show what he can do.”
Translation:
Nope, Anthony Becht was emotional because his Florida buddy and boss Mike Repole told him to do it you dumbass!
A Coach’s Conscience Drives Blockbuster Trade
The Storm sent DTR to Birmingham in exchange for quarterback Matt Corral and defensive lineman Amani Bledsoe, but Becht made it clear the move wasn’t about improving his roster—it was about doing right by a player.
“DTR is a starting quarterback in this league. He’s a phenomenal talent. I keep saying this one, shame on the league for not being picking him on their team because again, I got him after I got Jack. I got a lot of respect for DTR. He’s been a consummate pro. I’ve never seen anybody handle their scenario and situation as well as he has.”
Becht praised Thompson-Robinson’s professionalism throughout the quarterback competition that Jack Plummer ultimately won. The coach couldn’t give DTR enough credit for his attitude and contributions even as a backup.
Reality:
Oh sure Mark, this was ALL about morality, ethics, and conscience, sure, now here’s a larger bucket full of crap for you to carry as well up the taller hill over there.
The rest of the article is clearly Mark Perry beaming about Orlando and writing a puff piece about the team. Perry is clearly doing favours for Mike Repole in exchange for who knows what.
and all your spring football fanboys, Mark Perry!
