There are some strange fashion antics on the set now at CBS.
Nate Burleson opted for “The Ron Burgundy” look, sportcoat and turtleneck, but in evergreen for the season, as Bill Cowher to his right is sporting a look I thought I’d never see again on another screen or live - the “My Cousin Vinny” vintage all-burgundy three-piece suit!
Oof it’s all a bad look on CBS today folks, but showy.
The Lions with the introduction, as if it’s a playoff game, and CBS including Jim Nantz and Tony Romo, are making WAAAAAY too much out of this home game against the Steelers.
We are all stuck with this game in almost all of the US, with the only other games now the Raiders at Texans and Denver at Jacksonville.
I used to, but now it wouldn’t be worth it as there are only a few games I might want to see I can’t get during the regular season and I don’t have the time I used to and couldn’t watch them all. The cost isn’t worth it for only a few regular season games.
I’m going to invoke the strategy I used last night and just flip to something else, possibly take a nap, until the fourth quarter of this 3-3 game in Detroit.
For all the hype, the Lions’ offense sucks.
EDIT:
And on the first play back right after the commercial break, Goff throws an awesome touchdown pass with a great catch - so where were they all day so far!?
Exactly, very few games that aren’t available on regular network TV. Unless you’re a diehard Raiders, Browns, Giants, Titans or any other team at the bottom of the standings there’s no need to pay for the NFL package, the prime time teams and rivalries always make the network regular programming.
Out of curiosity I just had a look at the cost this year for Sunday Ticket. It’s $276 for new subscribers and $480 otherwise for the whole season. Count me out. When I originally had it in 2010 it was $150 for the whole season.
