It is now time for an off-season thread for all NFL developments between the remaining postseason games and off-the-field.
When the 2026 season starts in September, of course we will start a new thread for the season.

Not sure anybody really cares, but hey…
Although Kelce’s future is still up in the air, he’ll almost certainly be making his retirement decision before the start of free agency so that the Chiefs can make their offseason plans. Earlier this month, Travis made it sound like he wanted to see how his body feels before making a decision.
This is some great work here in Philadelphia with Peyton Manning by Travis’ brother, Jason, who also set the rambling Peyton straight too.
Alas, this should be about the last we see of the Tush Push, but it is time to put an end to it:
Heh.

How petty!
The ultimate snub
8 Superbowls!!
NFL should be better than this!
Geez. I rooted against him as much as anyone but even I’d put him in first ballot, no question.
The brother of one of my high school coaches!
But to be honest, I hardly ever worked with that coach.
The brother was also DaVaris Daniels’ coach.
Among the notable offensive minds Mannion played for include Rams coach Sean McVay, Packers coach Matt LaFleur and Atlanta Falcons coach Kevin Stefanski. Mannion retired as a player in early 2024 and joined LaFleur’s Packers as an offensive assistant. A year later, he was elevated to quarterbacks coach. Under his tutelage this season, Jordan Love had arguably the best year of his career, and backup Malik Willis stepped in and played well in multiple instances when Love was hurt.
Mannion is the Eagles’ fifth offensive coordinator in five years. The team lost Shane Steichen to the Indianapolis Colts coaching job after the 2022 season and handed the reins to Brian Johnson in 2023. The offense struggled, though, and Kellen Moore replaced Johnson the following season. After directing a Super Bowl-winning offense, Moore got the New Orleans Saints coaching job, leading to Patullo’s promotion. Now Sirianni is handing the reins over to Mannion.
As a fan, I’m holding out to see what is done in the draft and in free agency. A mere coaching change is only the start.
The Eagles cannot win more with the current cast on offense, including also because it is built in some part with the reliance on four downs via the Tush Push, which as it stands now will be outlawed by April.
Also because once again ha ha, Vikings

According to Breer, a lot of people in the organization report to Guerrero now, and he’s viewed as the “eyes and ears” of Brady. Where he comes into the equation with Crosby is that Guerrero was apparently part of communicating to the star pass rusher that he was being shut down. This “really angered Maxx,” Breer said.
Crosby also reportedly had a “strong suspicion” that the reason he was shut down was for the Raiders to tank for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Vegas was successful in doing so.
Yes, Crosby should request a trade and get the hell away from the Raiders. There’s not much upside there now.
If you enjoy reading about great defense, I am cross-posting this here for the off-season.
wednesday night football to open the season!
I hate it, but not any more than the Thursday night opener.
I just wish they would have all openers on Sunday.
I would go for Saturday night opener too, but Saturdays are out until December, under the agreement the NFL has had with the government for their anti-trust exemption for the sale of media rights as a single entity for all teams.
But if the top NCAA football teams were to ditch the NCAA and form their own Super League, well now I think this situation would change to some degree as well.
Although there are fewer things I’d love more than Indiana paying for our stadium, today’s headlines are hyperbolic.

Ultimately this campaign for years by the Chicago Bears is all about doing what many NFL owners have done to have their cake and eat it too - controlling their own stadium (i.e. via a favourable lease-back scheme) AND having the public pay for a good part of the expenses for construction and operations.
And if Indiana were to lure the Bears via a favourable scheme similar to that which has subsidized publicly-owned and publicly-operated Lucas Oil Stadium since its construction and then opening for use in 2008, well then like the Colts after construction of the venue, the Bears would have the taxpayers of Indiana over a barrel too.
haha i wanna see an Amon-Ra St. Brown headstand celly in Munich
Ironic it is indeed that whoever created this, he or she had the “chutzpah” so as to spell it incorrectly as “chutpah” as well.
