Kevin Johnson was American. That’s why I thought you were opening it up.

Hey, these new signings may stick around, but realistically most of them won’t. Some because they don’t make the cut, some because they may not want to wait around for an opportunity. It’s just a numbers game and there are only three roster spots available, with a fourth on the PR if the team sees need and the player agrees.

At the end of the of training camp, as crazy as it might sounds, I won’t be surprised to see Morgan still with the team.

Stranger things have happened.

I’m honestly a bit surprised that they aren’t considering Patterson or Evans for QB3. I get moving on from MBT but for sneaks and the ability to manage some form of the offence, I’d prefer Patterson or Evans to a raw CFL rookie.

C’est mon erreur d’écriture. Ce fut une période avec d’excellents secondeurs américains 2000-2010:
2000 J. Grace, T. Gravely,
2001 J. Grace, T. Graverly,
2002 K. Johnson, T. Strickland
2003 K. Johnson, T. Strickland,
2004 K. Johnson, T. Strickland,
2005 K. Johnson, T. Strickland
2006 C. Cox, T. Strickland
2007 C. Cox, K. Ellis, J. Grace, T.Strickland.
2008 C.Cox, K.Ellis, D.Ferri
2009 C. Cox, D. Ferri, B. Parker
2010 C. Cox, D. Ferri , B. Parker,

Sur le site de 3DN……mise à jour durant la journée selon les signatures.

Evans I can understand … back-to-back serious knee injuries could make the Als and Evans both reconsider his future.

I wonder whether Patterson may be more a case of his not seeing an opportunity for more than “sneaks” … his first two CFL seasons were in that role … injuries gave him the opportunity for a more expanded role in SSK in 2024 but he then didn’t get a contract for 2025 until the Als needed a “sneaker” … he may well be considering his future.

Est-ce que S. Patterson est intéressé à joueur dans la CFL pour 100,000$ CAD pour six (6) mois?

J’aurais espéré qu’il revienne.

Agreed, totally

I will be.

And greatly disappointed as well. Really don’t care to see Morgan in an Alouette uniform ever again.

Ellis was more of a defensive end. Parker was a defensive back. There was also Ramon Guzman, who split time with Ferri from 2010 through 2012-ish. He wasn’t bad.

There’s also the guy Emry replaced at MLB. Can’t remember his name – Reggie something. He played MLB in 2008. He was pretty good, but Emry was obviously an upgrade.

Morgan is one of those cases where all the profile, size, practice reps, and coaching just don’t add up to any kind of result. And he’s got a slow release too. I could be wrong, but I don’t think he has a CFL future. He’ll be 29 later this month and nothing about his first two years in the league suggests that he is a good fit for our game.

I understand us moving on from Evans after two serious knee injuries or him deciding to pack it in for the same reason. Patterson may still resurface.

I’ve also been thinking about our buddy William Stanback. I wonder if he is done or is a mid-season replacement for a team with injuries.

I followed the UFL fairly closely last year, and to be honest neither EJ Perry nor Dresser Wynn impressed me at all.

So our top 2 QBs this season are unquestioningly going to be Alexander and Crum.

So all we are looking for is a 3rd capable of handling 3rd and 1. . . and other than that deflating fumble in the East final 2025, we can’t go wrong with Patterson.

Really can’t see any of Wynn, Perry, MBT, or Morgan being superior to Patterson in that regard. Two have no CFL experience, MBT may as well hang up the cleats, and Morgan the less said the better.

So my vote, not that it matters at all, would be Patterson or Evans (if the latter’s health permits).

“Convert” him to quarterback and make him the 3rd down specialist?

Mostly kidding

I mean, Patterson has been in the league since, what, 2022? He had that stint in 2024 starting in place of an injured Trevor Harris and wasn’t exactly a revelation. If he’s smart, he’ll try to catch on somewhere and wait until the inevitable injury to QBs ahead of him opens the door to playing time. If not, he may well have to retire.

That’s the guy! Thanks. Could not for the life of me remember his last name.
