:als_red: Alouettes 2026 Talk

Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t say I want him back, just that I won’t be surprised if he is.

Yeah, Evans is a tough case. We don’t even know if he’ll be ready for the start of camp. And maybe he wants to move on to his post-football life. I feel for him. He did so much good work to come back from the first injury, then suffers another season-ending injury in his first start of the year.

I would absolutely bring Patterson back as the QB3 for sneak duty if he’s up for it and isn’t asking for too much coin. Not going to hold one fumble, albeit a costly one, against him.

I think Stanback is down to being that midseason injury replacement, or a pure depth guy. He’s had a great CFL career and he’s got a Grey Cup ring. But time is the final boss for everyone and he has a LOT of miles on that body.

Which is exactly what he did last year. Then we came calling and he handled 3rd and 1 quite nicely (but for one exception).

Gosh, that fumble wins the Robert Edwards Costly Grey Cup Game Turnover Award for sure.

I can’t see DM not being interested in him as a QB3 after the job Patterson did last season, so retirement is exactly what I was suggesting Shea was considering … if he doesn’t see a future as an actual quarterback he may prefer to just get on with the rest of his life … don’t know whether he has a university degree that could become a career or whether his family has a business of any sort

Oh wow! I don’t have any memory of Sheldon Benoit. Yikes!

CFL FA is open

Sadly no daily show on the FA frenzy on TSN

Neither do I!

Fun fact about Wiltshire. I beleive he became a police officer in Ontario after his CFL career.

I vaguely remember him, and he certainly bounced around the league.

Ah, Johnny Manziel; how I’ve tried to forget.

Tell me, which was worse:

  1. Manziel’s performance;

  2. Kavis Reed’s trade to get him;

  3. Our forum being flooded by his fanboys.

They are still open to bring Rambo but he’s looking for NFL opportunities

They want an other WR veteran

They want Canadian depth on the Oline

They won’t make anything major
