Bomber News and Discussion 2026

I’m impressed that Kyle Walters can attract both Perkins and Thorne up north. Well done. Definitely so promise there.

Yes Kudos to Walters . . . . but he’ll have to wait at a year before making a big play on Elgeresma. The Big Canuck is committed to bouncing around NFL camps, tryout camps, futures contracts, the whole shooting match. He’s a big body with above average arm. NFL camps need guys like that to tease defenses in the pre-season and during practice drills. He’ll only dress for actual games due to injuries.

Here you go with an overlooked scoop Nasty Nate.

There is NO NFL camp any more for Elgersma.

You best sharpen up your nasty game, for that is some weak sauce you are trying to serve today, and you are NOT fooling us.

There are no penalties now in the off-season, for it is also winter, so I sort of understand, but sharpen up buster!

You all want Elgersma, you all best reach out to him after this woeful trashy UFL season is over in June!

Our kicking game is safe! Castillo extends for 2 years and Sheahan extends for a 1 year deal. This is great news in Bomberland today!

Excellent… excellent (as I rub my clasped hands together diabolically).

Everything is unfolding as planned. Soon Tylor Elgersma will fall like ripened fruit into the sinister clutches of genius GM Kyle Walters’ iron talons.

Bwahahahahahaha!!!

Looks like we won’t have to change the Mexican FG celebration music for a while!

Trey Vaval staying in Winnipeg! That’s great for our special teams!

Also back with the team is veteran right guard Pat Neufeld and American DB Michael Griffin II.

I am very happy about Vaval returning kicks again this year. The Bombers desperately needed to replace Janarion Grant’s departure and there was no one better suited for the job as Trey was! Hopefully he stays for years to come.

Willie Jefferson is back for 2026!

This is a ridiculous stat. Only 17 knockdowns to take the all-time lead from a DB!

It could be the way Younger’s defensive scheme is set up but i hope the Bombers employ a QB pressure package to their system. The Bombers rarely put any pressure on opposing QB’s and that includes Willie who i love, glad he’s back but 3 sacks? I liked what i saw from the two young guys they tried out in the Bombers last regular season game but i hope Walters can grab a high end D end or D lineman to help out.

In theory, he could beat that record this season by averaging just a single knockdown every game. I believe there was a stat about Willie when he achieved 50 sacks and 50 knockdowns, that no other player had ever achieved both feats in a career before. He truly is a gifted freak athlete and I am glad he is back with the Bombers to terrorize opposing offences again this season!

You obviously understand. Beyond the joy of Willy’s re-upping is the obvious deficiency in sack power. Also, Willy is too often over-powered (bullied) by 6’4 to 6’6”, 310 to 330 lb. o-linemen that hammer him for gaping holes for their running attack. That said, Willy is an asset to the organization and the community.

Kyle Walters has to do better in finding a sack monster that can terrorize opposing QBs, take a ton of pressure off Willy and make the team better. Just putting two dependable ok-dokeys in there - doesn’t intimidate anyone.

I know Toronto’s O-line wasn’t oarticularly good, but maybe take a flyer on Darius Ciraco? For all intents and purposes we still need to replace Kolankowski.

Coulter Woodmansey, 28 yrs, free agent , was the highest ranked C by PFF last season but has some issues with his snapping on occasion. He’s still young, might be a good add, he can also play other O-line positions.
