Bomber News and Discussion 2026

This provides quite a bit more depth on the line. My guess is that Stanley Bryant will still be #1 Left Tackle with Broxton occasionally spelling him. While Broxton isn’t a tackle, he would slide in as an interior guard so his reps are maximized.

But I don’t have any leads in the room so this is a wild assumption.

A lot of moves in the last hour. DB Jonathan Moxey and WR N Tommy Nield entering the fold too!

Tommy Nield! The five year vet that nobody had ever heard of until last year!

I mean a switch up on 4th/5th receivers will often be like that.

Looks like Tommy Nield is a done deal.

Tommy Nield reached that magic 500 yard threshold that separates bench depth dwellers from primary targets. But that’s about it.

If only Tommy could bulk his wimpy 6’ 3” 203 pound tennis star frame up to manly tight end standards before training camp starts. Maybe a free gym pass and a pallet of protein packed meals courtesy of Kyle Walters would allow our newly signed twig to walk the beaches of Manitoba without getting sand kicked in his face.

Had this signing occurred a year ago at this time, I’d be stoked. Coming off a season-ending knee injury and a 13 game stretch where he managed just a single sack, he’s a gigantic question mark imo. The production he had prior to last season is exactly what the Bombers need most.

Jake Ceresna lines up at DT so we’re still in the hunt for a killer DE. We add one more qb crushing piece to this front four and we’ll have a decent pass rush for the first time since Jackson Jeffcoat was healthy.

I’d like to see Jake used on a rotational basis to keep him nasty for the whole season. That trick knee of his has me a bit worried though.

It looks like Bryant will play guard this year with Eric Lofton being signed away to Hamilton.

So we might need to find ANOTHER above average OT now? Ay caramba.

Maybe a well worded help wanted ad on Kijiji would get some results. Otherwise we’ll have to rely on Genius Assistant GM Danny Mac to round up an extra large double double OT who’s roaming free and wild in the US (pushing trees over for fun). Something around 340 pounds with an attitude ought to do it.

Send him here Danny. We’ll handle the paper training.

Like most of the signings. Walters stepped up to bring The Broxtasuaurus in. Well done. Lord Stanley Bryant (40) should move to the interior or even right OT. Guys were beating Bryant to the perimeter. Don’t know if he still has enough power in his gut to be an earth-moving guard but thats also worth a try.

The Ceresna signing has plusses and minuses. Replacing one OLD JAKE (Thomas) with a younger guy is great on paper. Ceresna is prolly one of two best Canadian DTs in the league - the BC guy would be #1. Only problem is Jake C is injury prone. All we need is another Strevler or Schoen - this time a defensive one.

Nield is a solid depth signing. Same for Jon Moxley. Hope he’ll bring his wife Rene Paquette to the Peg with him.

Not surprising Bombers popped for Tim White. When White is on, he’s a real offensive threat with a full bag of tricks. When he’s off - he’s invisible and prone to turnovers.

OLD GUYS HAVING COFFEE & PROTEIN SHAKES!

I’ve mapped out a depth chart based on the info I could find so far and where I project some of them to be.

This is based on:

  • Bombers News
  • Bombers Roster
  • Bombers Depth Charts
  • Wikipedia Bombers page
  • 2025 Depth Charts from other teams

P.S. - I mistaken Ontaria Pokey Wilson as a province, but he is not a Canadian after all.

You’ll see that I put Bryant at RT. I originally called for him to stay at LT, but Broxton is the highest paid OL on the team. Due to ratio and depth, it makes sense to stick Bryant into RT.

Just rough glancing at the chart, and it looks like weak side CB, weak side DE, and finalizing field side SB are areas the team should focus on next.

Getting Bonds or Wheatfall back would solidify the picture quite a bit more, though Bonds did have a bit of an off-year in 2025.

The Ceresna acquisition might Free Willy (Jefferson) to render even more damage than usual. Jefferson no doubt is on last legs but he’s been injury free due to his wont to take reps off. If Bombers can get at least 12 solid games out of Ceresna they’ll have done well. Finding a bookend DE to work w/ Jefferson should also be a priority.

Of course, my main concern is whether the wheels stay on Zach Collaros - and for how long!

The Bombers also have Munier-Bailey and Jaworski & Jenkins who played the last regular season game and acquitted themselves quite well. All three are young and showed promise, it would be nice if they hit on one or more of these players as it would solve the issue in house, at the very least spell off Willie.

I’ve been saying this for a couple of years now, but we need a Rasheed Bailey-esque 5th receiver who will do the grunt work and open up lanes and block for the other 4 receivers.

That would be more effective than any other high-profile receivers or 4/5 grunts that are currently on the roster/market.
