And Carney(?), Baldonado, Brammer, Ouellette…
Money is a motivator. Can’t keep em all no team ever can or does.
I’m fully aware… That’s why I didn’t list em all
.
Biggest problem in the CFL .. so much roster movement every single season
Last year we only retained half our free agents… I’d be content with that again.
But the right half![]()
All important pieces of last year‘s pie, but will they be for this year? The writing on the wall with carney is that he will be shopping himself and free agency.
Avery is a pending FA as well and a very good SAM. We were never going to be able to keep both him and Allen but i’m hoping that we can at least keep one of them. I assume that Avery’s injury is going to be a non factor going forward?
9 of 13 extensions to date are nationals – including Lake Korte-Moore today.
Riders are definitely locking up the right half.
Between the 2 my pick would be Allen, and not just because of his passport… The kid just keeps getting better with every game. That said, he’s definitely the more expensive option, making Avery the more viable choice.
The deep NI list we finished the year with gave us the ability to tinker with our playoff lineup to a great extent. The GC had the most effective OL that i’ve ever watched. No pressures and good run blocking. Might only have two of those guys back if we don’t get to work. That said, really like some of the PR players and backups.
I’m a little surprised not much Ouellette talk going on. I thought he would be somewhat of a priority.
Gotta get Brammer back; he’s another kid that improved as the season progressed.
A good reliable guard who played all but 1 game all season.
He would be and is. But if he wants to test free agency he will not nor will his agent say or do much of anything. So we cannot fault the team for that matter
I think most of us really believe he is a done deal! Sure hope so anyway.
Couple more weeks before i start to get anxious about him. Others I’m not so sure about.
What injury?
I don’t think Oulette is a big money guy. My gut tells me they’re keeping quite on him because they have other plans or they’re firm with him. But I just don’t see the player as the one holding out here.
He was out all season with a bicep tear he suffered during training camp.
Ok I’m mixed up. I meant CJ Reavis! Not CJ Avery. My mistake sorry!
Lol, I did the same thing during the 2024 season. Come to think of it, a couple CFL writers confused the 2 as well.
