OH YA !!! He was on one of my many wish lists . This has the potential to be a greeeeeat signing .
And he’s only 25
Yeah that’s what I’m saying. He’s 25 and Barrow is 26 and they’ve both had tryouts in NFL recently with nothing materializing which hopefully means they can just focus on being All-CFL bookends on the Ticats for the next 6+ years.
Well as usual I see the folks over at the Cats site are right on top of things as usual…..NOT !!!
5:30 PM and a full five and a half hours past the deadline date and they still haven’t updated the roster . Bunch of lazy ass donkeys over at that sight . None of our former players have been deleted yet and none of the newbies have been added . Come on Cats , do better ! Asleep at the switch as usual . Smarten up .
5:00 p.m. EST — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats may have sneakily made the biggest splash of free agency day, signing American offensive tackle Trevor Reid. The 25-year-old was a standout with Saskatchewan in 2024 and earned an NFL shot that was derailed by injuries. He could be a difference-maker on the left side.

Some good signings today? ![]()
I’m in love with this signing. Dude is the type of long, athletic tackle that you love to see locking down Bo’s blindside for the next 2 years. Now our OT cup runneth over.
I think they will be making our OL officially the best in the CFL i dont care what anyone says
Quite possibly. Reid and Barrow have to be up at the top for the best young OT tandem and then you’ve got a nice core of vets in Revenberg, Kolankowski, and Dobson. Some good ascending depth though too with Dumolin-Duguay entering his 3rd year, Hosseini entering his 2nd and Swartout entering his 2nd as well. As much as Lofton was underwhelming, as veteran depth that only sees the field in case of emergency I think it’s a great signing. Poor Quinn Carroll will have to really do something special in camp to even make PR.
Honestly, the passionate and dedicated fans here on this Forum do a way better job at keeping us all in the loop.
I rarely even bother with the Official site anymore.
Did Ottawacat make it over to this site?
He was our roster conscience.
Yeah, Ottawacat was great for posting up-to-the-minute roster transactions.
Unfortunately, I think there are still a few people who don’t know about the new Forum. If only there was a way to reach them. ![]()
Here is the updated chart with the signings today. Also look at how well our OL was last year 27th sacks against for Hamilton with Trevor Reid im sure will bring better OL.
You and me both.
You’ve got Maalik Hall twice.
Pretty solid day overall. Reid was an absolutely solid get to solidify the Oline.
Alford is no spring chicken but brings tons of experience and game breaking ability to the KR game.
Wheatfall had a decent year in the ‘Peg and will be a nice complementary receiver.
The two Canucks picked up will add to the depth and be guys who should contribute on specials.
I know very little about the punter they signed but I would hope they bring in another leg to have a competition at camp.
I do wonder if they are on the lookout for some experience in the secondary. Ciante Evans has plenty of experience and could be a useful piece to the back end and he’s played previously in the Hammer.
Can’t believe Ottawa made Bell the highest paid RB in the league, that’s comical. You can have him. American RBs are a dime a dozen.
I see JJ Molson on that UFL list. Ticats drafted him as a punter once upon a time. Always figured he would show up here once he exhausted his NFL chances. Now he’s kicking in that so called trash league (as Paolo X likes to call it). Come back to Canada JJ and give us another punting and kickoff option.
I never knew Molson punted. Pretty sure he didn’t in university.
