Wait. Who’s Sunderland again? ![]()
Doesn’t get enough for credit for things in a role…. whose responsibilities no one has yet been able to define. Even himself.
HAM is like any other CFL team. For every one morally upstanding fella there’s a Trejan Bridges.
“We expect to lose some players. We’re happy to get some players. Players are expensive. Players play football. We have a winning culture”
I agree with the Canadian depth part big time. Formerly an afterthought. We even got fined for purposely not playing enough Canadians in a game
You’ve got to give Stein some credit at least for realizing that the team was spinning it’s wheels with him as the Head Coach. He vacated that role for the betterment of the team, and was assigned to a new position.
Whatever Stein’s new roll is right now, (signing off on transactions, hiring personnel, brewing a mean cup of coffee, or whatever) it seems to be working. The team has been heading in the right direction.
Every other CFL team? Argos? Kelly, Oakman…
The Lemonator in Montreal?
By Hamilton making a point of hiring players with solid character they can keep focused on the on field stuff.
The antics of those mentioned above put some pretty bad shade on their organizations.
No, we are not like every other team.
Yikes, I wasn’t aware of that one. How do you prove something like that? ![]()
Question here for any legal experts.
How can American players with fairly serious rap sheets, be allowed to enter and/or work in Canada? ![]()
He was fired . Shuffled upstairs.
Yes, we are. HAM has employed reprobates in the past, present and will in the future. It’s a business and you have to cross you fingers , take a chance on talented on sketchy players and hope it doesn’t backfire.
Chang….
Never understood that myself.

I guess you can enter.![]()
I wonder if it has to do with the prison boot camp he did. Because there’s no way the time period lines up with what I read in your link.
I have to believe the Cats FO did their due diligence that he’d be able to come to camp.
Keep in mind didn’t a bomber have some trouble with the law a few years ago and he was able to come back to Canada?
And to Hamilton?
By making it a policy to hire players that are morally sound the team can avoid potential issues with “reprobates”. It is a smart move by the execs. Is it 100% foolproof? No. It is impossible to predict future behaviour but you can certainly avoid the known bad actors. Chad Kelly is the perfect example.
Other teams have clearly not made that a priority and it has bit them in the ass.
Who exactly are our current “reprobates” that you say the team has on the roster?
In spite of the team’s policy you can confidently say we will have problems in the future?
I don’t think so.
