you can add Hoyte to the retired list…
Every teams neg list here
According to this article, he’s an Astrophysisist and a High School teacher.
Good for him.
Ticats’ Hoyte tackles people and cosmological problems https://share.google/m0VpIxZe7ZH8gIZtg
(article worked for me once, but now has a paywall)
You could play him WILL and leave McManis at MIKE or you could move McManis at WILL and put Veresuk at MIKE. You don’t need to be the MIKE to make play calls and it makes no sense putting a guy at DE, who can cover runningbacks in man coverage.
My guess would be that if he comes back he will be strictly rotational and a regular on specials .
I think that definitely depends how the 7th Canadian question is answered. If they can’t come up with something better than Veresuk at Will then I could see him jumping into that.
Milanovich regularly arrived at Hamilton’s facility around 3 a.m. during the season with coffee and Diet Cokes to keep him going. Meanwhile, Powell would be there at 5 a.m. when the building officially opened to begin his preparations as he wasn’t allowed in any earlier.
I’m excited to see April 28 and the CFL Draft . Will my Cats go LB or DL in the first round . We pick fifth in every round . ![]()
I think the hope is they continue building that defensive depth and there will certainly be talent available there. I wonder though whether they go WR to prepare in case Kiondre also wants to take advantage of Alberta’s lower taxes next off-season.

Ticats usually surprise me with their picks, maybe moreso when Allemang was the main guy at the draft. I don’t think they could go wrong with any position in round 1 as we need depth across the roster. DL or LB would make sense but Cenacle is an interesting prospect at receiver.
Second round is more of a crapshoot, at that point I think you take the best available talent.
Agreed, especially on second round. That’s where I’d like to see the cats go with a high upside futures pick that signs a NFL UDFA deal.
