It was describing Pickett’s deal. 1 year, something like 191K. I believe it said he was the #1 paid LB in the CFL

Thank you for this. Being the highest paid LB seems to suggest ownership is more willing to spend on the team than naysayers want to think

Doesn’t look like there’s going to be many decent draft eligible runningbacks from USports this year. Tough to find who’s eligible though.
This kid caught my eye;
Ottawa signed him last season but it seems that was all the way back in 2024;
It looks like he returned to school for the 2025 season. I’m not sure if this means they still own his rights for 2026. Intriguing prospect for sure.
Judge McManus and Pickett sounds good to me.

That Mitchell kid they re-signed has some possibilities IMO. 6’ 205 with under 4.5 speed. Jim Barker has a good eye for talent and Coach Miller has seen him up close so they wouldn’t bring him back if they didn’t think he could play. Get the Oline straightened out and the RB position will improve as well.

A couple of deletes this past week. DL Wallace and CB Drew. Methinks they could be let go to play in the UFL again and then return to the Argos in the spring. Young guys need to play to improve.

Even if McManus walks, we have Pickett, Judge, Dozier, Darkangelo, and Varga.
I would be pretty happy with that rotation. Could probably even throw Slywka in there from time to time just to mess with offences.

I believe he was already under contract for 2026. Seeing now that this is a 1 year extension, keeping him with the team through 2027! Personally I’m a big fan of this because I am a big Judge fan.

Hopefully Brissett will be re-signed at one of the WR spots. That’s the same OL that really didn’t get the job done last year. Maybe Hunter has to come back inside at left guard and go with two Import Tackles
