We’ll have a better idea of what the depth chart will look like by free agency. I wonder if players like DL Wallace and DB Drew were released to go play in the UFL and then maybe return for the CFL season. But maybe the team were just moving on from them. Parrish released was a bit of a surprise or maybe Canadian DE’s Shand and Vilain are signing on.

Seems to me we are seeing quite a few more multi year contracts being signed around the League. Must be a reason.

Argos sign a pair including former 1st rounder and NFL player Dakota Shepley
Per 3 down he will be the highest paid OL in the league. Something that wouldn’t have been possible in the last CBA.

Toronto listed as one of the places Tre Ford could end up. I really can’t see that with the depth the Argos have at QB. IMO Ed Hervey over paid Ford and put him in a very difficult position on a rebuilding Elk team. To me Saskatchewan makes more sense to come in and play behind Trevor and get some playing time on a good team where he can have some success. He’s going to have to take and pretty good pay cut to start over as a backup. To bad the rules don’t allow back up QB’s to play other positions. Tre is such a good athlete he could probably do well a receiver when needed.

That being said, I thought our WRs were a strength last season and it was a struggle to get everyone the ball. Hopefully Brissett is getting a good paycheck out of it.
Right now we still have Polk, Coxie, Herslow, Ungerer, and Mital. I like that core group of guys.
Wouldn’t mind seeing a guy like Charleston Rambo (MTL) or even Kurleigh Gittens Jr (EDM) getting signed in FA.
Never known when the next Damian Alford will show up in the draft too!

might be sooner because we have the home and home pre-season then the “Argo” home game in Hamilton is July 18th then we dont play till labour day then last game is on August 22nd

Also signed American kicker Matt Ammendola. He lost a kicking competition in San Antonio this past UFL Season. Not sure I understand this one. Maybe Lirim is getting a NFL futures deal? Otherwise what’s the point.
