Franklin Ibelo out of Calgary is one to keep an eye on. 6’7, 330lbs, might test well at the combine.
Another former Dino is out their J-Min Pelley 6’4, 330lbs. Played for the Argo’s last year.
I was listening to the most recent 3DownNation podcast and they were talking about Ford potentially signing for the Lions. They said that there was a rule change a couple years back but didn’t elaborate on what it was, but from context it sounded like if you had both Ford and Rourke on the field at the same time it would count as 2 Canadians. This is somewhat counter to my understanding that if Ford is listed as a backup he would count simply as one of the 3 QBs who exist outside of the ratio, but I guess if you play him out of position he can count as one of the Canadians on the field? So if the Ticats have some package where they bring Ford in to play WR/RB/whatever Taysom Hill’s position is then he would be able to take a Canadian starter off the field.
The other thing I’m wondering is whether the Ticats could dress the 3 other QBs (BLM, Frost, Dolegala) but then also dress Ford as RB/WR and have him count towards the ratio that way?

Sure they could do either of those things, but do you really believe in that as a solution to the issue of not having good enough starters?

This offseason felt like it was mostly about de-constructing the roster, whether by design or losing players to the NFL. Day 2 of this “tampering” thing we’ll see what pieces get added back on. Bleeding has stopped and Ott/Edm can’t field more than 45 players a game so that’s good.

You would have to think that Winnipeg , Edmonton and Ottawa have all basically blown their collective bolts on the first day . I would think that they must all be down to having pocket change left after yesterdays spending sprees .

If braintrust can’t make this happen its time to get uncomfortable.
And they got Beard last off-season. The 2024 Ticats OL has become the 2026 Elks OL (minus Revenberg)

It would seem a player’s “report card” on teams doesn’t actually resonate one way or the other. (C-rated OTT having no problem attracting talent. Well rated HAM has a lineup at the exits).
The cold hearted cynics might be right. All players really care about is money.

Isn’t Ottawa in the market for a MLB after the release of J S-K ? I’m thinking though that they might not have the wiggle room left to afford him after yesterdays spending spree .
with Bell signing with Ottawa does that mean Augustine is the new number one running back and who is number two?
What does Nyles Morgan play? They had acquired him from the Elks prior to free agency.
