A post a while back including a Jamal Peters post seemed to suggest everyone “calm down”, perhaps suggesting, as a former Argo teammate of McManis, that he has some inside knowledge of the situation. We can only hope

That speaks to the quality of the their organizational structure in Bomberland. They had an off year, recognized it, and now want to fix it. Settling for mediocrity is not acceptable.
Goveia was instrumental for a lot of the Bomber’s success. He brought that mindset to Hamilton when he was hired here as GM. I hope we can finish his vision even though he is not with us anymore.

I agree with this and also think that the Defensive Backfield should not have more than one rookie. Rookie DBs always take at least half a season to get the hang of our CFL game.
If we hope to have a stellar defence this year, we need some solid veteran presence in all 3 phases of our Defense. D-Line, LBs, and DBs.

Or, the ownership got what it wanted last year ( a competitive team) after hearing the comments about selling the team that were increasing as ‘24 went on. Attendance was up and undoubtedly sponsorship was up…
It would seem , at least to this point, we are being “caretaken” back to the mean…

I say have faith. You don’t build a team off of free agents. Ed Hervey is a good example, so is Shawn Burke for that example. Those holes are filled we just need to make them into the next round of great players. A few good signings, like McManus

This is the truest statement made so far in 2026.
Everyone thought Hervey “won” free agency last year.
Even with all our faults we had a good team last year. We’ve already resigned our elite group, best at their positions ( BLM, Howsare, Peters, Kats, Ravenberg) before free agency even started and have arguably the best reciever in the league already under contract, not to mention our field goal kicker is elite as well.

Well that’s interesting. I didn’t expect Ford to go to Hamilton!
I’m not sure what they’re going to do with him seeing as Mitchell’s going to be the starter.
Maybe they’ll groom him, Let Mitchell do some training with Ford.
