At this stage I think most teams would rather take a chance on a young guy so they can get playing time and hopefully develop into something more. Addison is a tough, versatile player who I always liked but it’s been seven seasons since he was considered a threat. He gave Ottawa some decent production after recovering from multiple injuries but I can’t imagine him getting another contract.

He might resurface somewhere mid season when the injury bug bites and teams are looking for emergency replacement players .

Hopefully they all will enjoy their extra three weeks off this year and also playing before families and friends only in an empty stadium .
