You have to remember that not only did Winnipeg draft Elgersma but they also signed Super Bowl winner and reigning UFL OPOY/MVP Bryce Perkins. Powell should not be looking at that and thinking he’s got an easier path than waiting behind Bo.

no and i understand that but also keep in mind i have nothing against American Qbs because sometimes they do work out but sometimes they dont work out.. Keep in Mind Johnny Manziel. So before even seeing if Perkins if the back up gotta see how he does in pre-season and such first because he might not be the one.

According to PFF, Bell had the worst pass blocking rating in the league of all running backs with at least 50 carries. They may be willing to take a little risk on the ball carrying, pass receiving side to upgrade the pass blocking side. That may be with a younger, cheaper back, or it might be by adding AJO who I believe has not re-signed in SSK and was the second best pass blocking running back. AJO had a few injuries last year. That scares me less with Augustine as a capable backup.
I’m not saying that’s the plan, but just floating the possibility.

Milanovich chose Bell over Butler already, I would be suprised if he went back to Butler at this point.
If he moves on from Bell I would guess he goes with a cheaper/younger version of Bell.
I always liked Butler and I was sad when he left.
